Third-Party Modules - STUBΒΆ

PyPI is a source of information about thousands of modules for Python. And there are many more whose authors haven’t entered them into that repository. Many of them will work unchanged on Windows; others, written for other platforms, will work with minor tweaks; some are wrappers around libraries or other tools which may be more or less available for Windows; and some won’t work at all as they rely on kernel-level code or incompatible libraries from their native system.

This section of the document is a point of information for information and tips for Windows users who want to use a particular module. The information may be a detailed list of downloads and compile flags or a simple patch or documentation uplift. It may point to a precompiled download away from the original site or refer to version issues with Vista.
